Students, teachers and administrators across the district participated in an array of Halloween festivities on Oct. 31.
James H. Boyd Intermediate School and Harley Avenue Primary School conducted their annual Halloween parades. Friends and family gathered outside to watch students in their costumes walk with their class. Teachers got into the Halloween spirit as well. At Harley Avenue, many teachers dressed as characters from the Wizard of Oz. Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kenneth Bossert, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction Maureen Hull and Principal Elissa Toubin also joined the celebration at Harley Avenue as the Elwood Middle School marching band provided music for the parade.
Students and faculty members throughout the district dressed in their best costumes for the day. Teachers at Elwood Middle School banded together to form a group of minions based on the movie Despicable Me and students at Elwood-John H. Glenn High School participated in a Halloween contest.
