Elwood-John H. Glenn High School students recently had the opportunity to hear from Molloy College representatives and take part in an on-site admission process with LIU Post.
Representatives from Molloy College’s Business Program visited personal finance and accounting classes at the high school to talk about the important aspects of finding a college and future career. They tackled how to obtain internships and the pros and cons of going to school away from home. The representatives also spoke to students about the difference between value and tuition when selecting a school and discussed various business and accounting fields. This allowed students to get a different perspective of the job market and help them navigate what they want to do in the future.
Seniors also had the opportunity to speak with representatives from LIU Post. The college conducted on-site admissions at the high school where 12 applicants applied. Eight of these students were accepted and all received scholarships ranging from $10,000 to $20,000.
