Harley Avenue Primary School was recognized as a Suffolk Reading Council Honor School for its 25 years of participation. The school was honored at the Suffolk Reading Council’s Annual Creative Writing and Honor School Awards Reception in early June.
According to Suffolk Reading Council Honor School Coordinator Chris Tavolaro, “Our organization, which promotes the growth and development of literacy, applauds your school’s efforts in the advancement of your students’ development of literacy.”
For its honor, Harley Avenue was presented with a special banner to be hung in the school hallway. It will serve as a daily reminder to students of their dedication and commitment to literacy education.
