Tax Cap & The Future of Public School Finance

On November 3rd, the Elwood Board of Education will host a special presentation by Mr. Vincent Cullen, CPA, on the recently enacted municipal tax cap and the impact it will have on Elwood UFSD and public schools in general.  Mr. Cullen will talk about the specifics of the legislation, the general position of schools with regard to it, and how Elwood is viewed in the context of this reality.  The meeting will be held in the Middle School auditorium at 7:30 p.m.
 
Vincent Cullen has more than 30 years of professional experience with a concentration in the local governmental and not-for-profit environments, and is currently Cullen & Danowski’s Partner-in-Charge of the Governmental Audit and Accounting Practice.  Mr. Cullen is a member of the AICPA (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants), NYSSCPA (the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants), ASBOI, ASBO, GFOA and the Public School Accounting Committee of the NYSSCPA.
