Long Island meetings with Commissioner King
Commissioner King is scheduling meetings on Long Island regarding
testing and the Common Core. The information we have as of November 12
is that the first meeting will take place on Tuesday, November 12, from 6
to 8 P.M. at Ward Melville High School in Three Village. About 60
seats are reserved and the remainder of the seats will be on a
first-come basis. The auditorium holds about 900, and the forum will
also be live-streamed in the school cafeteria which can hold about 420
people.
The next meeting is scheduled for November 13 from 4 to 6:30 P.M. at
Mineola High School in Garden City Park, but all seating is reserved.
Two more meetings are anticipated on Long Island on November 26 and December 9, but details are not yet available.
