In early June, Jessi Kaleck, a young adult librarian with the Elwood
Public Library, visited students at Elwood Middle School to discuss the
various programs offered at the library during the summer months. Ms.
Kaleck shared an engaging presentation with the students that
highlighted the summer reading program and various workshops offered.
From a chess club and game night, to cupcake decorating and a workshop
on amusement park science, the library provides a multitude of options
for students during the summer.
“Ms. Kaleck’s visit to our school has reinforced our ongoing connection
with the Elwood Public Library,” said Nicole Litterello, an English
teacher at Elwood Middle School. “The students really connected with her
and were excited to sign up for the programs!”
