The New York State Education Department has named Elwood-John H. Glenn
High School to its list of Reward Schools for the 2014-15 school year,
the third straight year the high school has received this honor. The
high school is one out of only 354 schools throughout the state to be
honored with this distinction.
According to the SED, Reward Schools are either schools that have made
the most progress or schools that have the highest achievement in the
state and do not have significant gaps in student achievement that are
not being closed.
“I am extremely proud that Elwood-John H. Glenn High School has been
named a Reward School yet again,” said Superintendent of Schools Peter
Scordo. “The ongoing dedication of our students, faculty and community
has contributed to this recognition. Thank you to the entire school
community for its efforts.”
