Knights Reign in Homecoming Game

In spite of the stormy weather, Elwood-John H. Glenn High School’s homecoming game was well attended by community members, administrators and students, demonstrating their school spirit and support on Saturday, Nov. 1.

Although the parade and other homecoming festivities were postponed until Nov. 8, the Elwood Knights varsity football team versed Bishop McGann-Mercy High School in the homecoming game. Keeping spirits high, the Glenn varsity cheerleading squad cheered as the Knights varsity team worked to claim a homecoming win.

During the game, students from the sophomore class sold hot chocolate and Ramen Noodle Soup to help Knight fans keep warm. The high school’s senior student council also had a booth and provided attendees with packaged snacks and drinks.

With a final score of 48-13, the Knights reined victorious over the Mercy Monarchs.
