Special People Visit Harley Avenue

In recognition of Valentine’s Day, Harley Avenue Primary School hosted its annual PTA-sponsored Special Person Celebration, where students selected a special guest with whom they could enjoy various holiday festivities.

The event was hosted in the cafeteria, which was filled with music and colorful valentine decorations. The lively Harley students and guests took to the dance floor for freestyle dancing, along with traditional line dances. To assist with the event, Elwood-John H. Glenn High School student council members worked with younger students on Valentine’s Day crafts and applied temporary tattoos to their hands.

“It’s a nice way for the kids to connect with their special person and show them their school,” said PTA Co-president Melissa Maher. “Harley is a special place, and the students want to show it off to their loved ones.”
