On April 16th, by unanimous vote the Elwood Board of Education adopted a $59,484,516 budget for the 2015-16 school year. The adopted budget falls within the 2.09% mandated tax cap. This budget maintains all programs as well as the following program enhancements: Provides for the restoration of full day kindergarten, 1 FTE (full-time equivalent) teacher at the high school for more electives in place of study halls, and additional ESL (English as a Second Language) staffing as per Part 154 regulations.*
