High School Ranks High in NYS

U.S. News & World Report has released its annual ranking of the country’s high schools, which assesses schools on how well they serve all students and how successfully the schools are educating students across a variety of measurable academic outcomes. Elwood-John H. Glenn High School ranked #112 out of more than 1,000 high schools reviewed in New York State.  As a result, the school has received Silver Medal status from the magazine.

Rankings are based on the latest data available to the College Board from the 2012-13 school year. Elwood-John H. Glenn High School ranked above the NYS average in terms of college readiness and proficiency in Math and English. The school has a 43 percent participation rate in AP examinations with 87 percent of students scoring a 3 or higher on their exams. A grade of 3 or higher on an AP exam indicates that the student is achieving at or above college level.
