In mid-May, 17 student-athletes from Elwood-John H. Glenn High School signed National Letters of Intent to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level. Parents, coaches and district administrators gathered to honor the students’ dedication and commitment to their sports and academic careers.
“We are incredibly proud of the number of athletes who are moving on to the next level,” said Athletic Director Louis Tuorto. “These students are not only great athletes, but also great students and exhibit tremendous character. We wish them the best of luck as they take this next step.”
The following students were recognized: Corey Ainsworth, Morrisville State College, soccer; Brandon Aviles, Iowa State University, wrestling; Christopher Bosco, Johnson & Wales University, wrestling; Mathew Czeczotka, Cortland University, football; Alyssa DeFalco, New York University, soccer; Peter Georgiou, SUNY Maritime College, football; Aaliyah Graham, Buffalo State College, basketball; Hasan King, Utica College, football; Michael Mannix, SUNY Cortland, football; Tanna Mohamed, Dowling College, basketball; Cassandra Napolitano, Clark University, basketball; Anthony Pino, Alfred University, football; Dante Postorino, Western Connecticut State University, basketball; Jonathan Schefer, Mount Saint Mary College, soccer; Emily Taylor, SUNY Cortland, track; TJ Tiernan, Binghamton University, lacrosse; and Robert Valdez, Pace University, lacrosse.
