Elwood-John H. Glenn High School student-actress Victoria Ciccone received a 2015 Hunting-Tony Award. During the awards ceremony, Ciccone was named Best Actress in a Musical for her role as Miss Adelaide in the Elwood-John H. Glenn High School winter musical performance “Guys and Dolls.”

Sponsored by the Engeman Theater in Northport, the Hunting-Tony Awards is an annual award ceremony to highlight the performing arts talent of students throughout the Town of Huntington.

At the district’s June business meeting, the Board of Education recognized Ciccone for her success at the Hunting-Tony Awards. Additionally, Suffolk County Legislator Steve Stern presented Ciccone with a proclamation from the Town of Huntington.

In the fall, Ciccone will pursue her theatrical passion in the performing arts program at Sarah Lawrence College in New York or Muhlenberg College in Pennsylvania, both of which have offered her scholarships.
