Students in Liz Held’s and Beth Noon’s third-grade classes at James H. Boyd Intermediate School assembled Halloween-themed goodie bags for children at North Shore LIJ’s Cohen Children’s Medical Center in New Hyde Park on Oct. 23.

Each third-grader decorated two bags with festive stickers and drawings. Students filled the bags with holiday items including pencils, erasers, note pads and a friendly letter the student’s wrote. The teachers and students collectively made more than 100 goodie bags that will be given to children at the medical center.
