Spreading holiday cheer for all to hear, second-grade students at Harley Avenue Primary School sang songs and recited rhymes during their holiday concert.

Gathered in the school’s cafeteria, administrators, teachers, family and friends were musically entertained as students, under the direction of music teacher Christina Long, sang nine holiday-themed songs including “Jingle Bell Rock,” “Winter Wonderland,” “Hanukkah Song” and “Light the Kinara for Kwanzaa.”

To accompany their songs, students used hand motions, bells, signs, winter accessories and other festive props. Throughout the performance, second-graders recited a short rhyme for each letter, spelling the phrase Happy Holidays.
