Sponsored by the Elwood Education Endowment, members of the Elwood-John Glenn High School musical choirs received a visit from guest conductor, Dr. David Fryling of Hofstra University.
During his visit, Dr. Fryling worked with the Concert Choir on their current repertoire, giving them new ways to perform, vocalize and think through the challenges of their music. He also worked with members of the Mixed Chorus, focusing on meaning, performance and challenged them to answer the question, why they make music?
“The students were incredibly responsive and had a noteworthy experience,” said Elwood-John H. Glenn High School chorus teacher Rachel Nagel.
