The New York State Education Department recently provided Patch with Advanced Placement test data from every public school district in the state for 2015 and compiled a list to compare performances by school district.
Among the top 95 Long Island school districts, Elwood-John H. Glenn High School ranked No. 2, with 86 percent of AP tests taken scored at a 3 or higher.

The College Board reports more than 4.5 million exams were taken by 2.5 million students in over 19,000 high schools. Of those exams, almost 70,000 were taken by Long Island public school students, according to a Patch report.
