We are excited to announce our recent inclusion into the College Board’s 7th Annual AP District Honor Roll! Elwood is one of 433 school districts in the United States and Canada who increased Advanced Placement course opportunity for students while also maintaining or improving the rate at which AP students scored a 3 or higher on an AP exam. This is the second year that the district has achieved this honor.

“I am so proud that at Elwood-John H. Glenn High School, we have provided more students with the opportunity to experience the challenge and rigor of an Advanced Placement course,” said Principal Carisa Burzynski.  “We know these courses better prepare students for college and a career and have maintained student performance on AP exams that is above state and national averages.”

Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction Maureen Hull credits the high school and the community for this high achievement.

“We believe that all students can be successful and should have access to challenging coursework,” she said. “The continued strong performance of our students reflects both the efforts of teachers and the commitment of students to do their personal best.”
