The district’s Board of Education held their annual reorganization meeting on July 6 in preparation for the 2017-18 school year. Although unable to attend the meeting, Julia Fried, who was elected to serve on the board for another three-year term, was named president of the board as well in a unanimous vote.

In addition, board trustee James Tomeo was elected to serve as vice president and was sworn in by the newly appointed district clerk, Mary Lou Janelli. New board trustee Becky Marcus was also unable to attend the meeting but was sworn in on July 11 for a three-year term surrounded by proud family members, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kenneth Bossert and vice-president Tomeo.
