Fourth graders at James H. Boyd Intermediate School partnered with Angels Without Faces to adopt families in need this holiday season.
For weeks leading up to the holidays, students and their parents went shopping and donated gifts tailored to each of the families’ wish lists.
Angels Without Faces is a nonprofit organization that provides emergency financial assistance to families and individuals who have experienced hardships. Its mission is not only to raise funds but also to increase awareness and “remind all of us all that we are one community.”
To thank the students personally, the founder of Angels without Faces, Joseph Mango, visited the school on Dec.20.
