Guided by adviser Allen Epstein, the Social Studies Club at Elwood-John H. Glenn High School recently held a “pie in the face” contest fundraiser for the United Way nonprofit, raising $500 in donations. A United Way representative later visited the school for a check presentation.

“This was a really successful fundraiser for John Glenn,” said Social Studies Club Vice President Sumayah Raza. “Students from every grade donated not only to nominate a teacher, but to show their support for a great cause, the United Way. We couldn’t be prouder.”
