Three representatives from the Elwood School District – Principal Dr. Christina Moran; Director of Math, Science, Technology and Federal Grants Dawn Valle; and social studies teacher Wendy Braxton – traveled to Washington, DC in June to receive Elwood Middle School’s designation as a National Forums Schools to Watch.

The Elwood representatives were honored at a ceremony and gave a presentation about the programs and initiatives at EMS that make the school nationally recognized as academically excellent, developmentally responsive and socially equitable.
