Elwood-John H. Glenn High School senior James Rourke was recently named a News12 Scholar Athlete Award winner. Rourke will receive a $1,000 college scholarship from Bethpage Federal Credit Union and will be featured on News12. Rourke is a member of the John Glenn Marching Knights band and the school’s track and soccer teams, as well as an Eagle Scout.

“I think it’s a testament to a lot of the coaches that we have here, and the faculty and the administration that we have in the building,” Rourke said. “It wasn’t a one man show at all. I’d like to thank my family for all their support through the years and for everyone in this school district for helping me get to this point.”
