College Board Recognizes 46 John Glenn HS AP Scholars for 2024

A total of 46 Elwood-John H. Glenn High School students were named by the College Board as AP Scholars for 2024, recognizing their outstanding academic efforts. The Advanced Placement Program recognizes several different award levels for college-level student academic achievement on AP courses and exams.

Fifteen students – seniors Bryce Blaylock, Nicolas Chery, Dillon Goralski, Faith Hausch, Angelina Lombardi, Cole Madden, Emelia Maletta, Ellie Mitola, Ibraheem Riaz, Ryan Rivera, Sierra Roizman, Dave Singh, Anna Stavros, Eli Tyll, Reginald Valentin and Caroline Weiss, and junior Aaleshan Jamal – were named AP Scholars, granted to students who receive scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP Exams.

Eleven seniors – Jack Beaudry, Delia Beuka, Gavin Fazal, Mariel Fusco, Carmine Gerbino, Alexia Monclova, Grace Oliveri, Azn Pineda, Lillie Polese, Zoe Wilkinson and Emily Yang – were named AP Scholars with Honor, granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams.

Twenty seniors – Joseph Borodkin, Ellie Crowley, Haley Katzman, Joanna Kim, Brayden Klement, Cooper Knorr, Benny Lee, Davin Li, Samuel Mintz, Katherine Moravec, James Mossey, Nicola Palisciano, Jenna Parisi, Hafsah Raza, Nolan Reinhardt, Robert Rhatigan, Madison Sorok, Victoria Weissberg, Gul Zahra and Madison Zisel – were named AP Scholars with Distinction, granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams.

Additionally, 14 John Glenn Class of 2024 graduates were named AP Scholars: Mark Antoniak, Camila Avila, Jenna Ban, Colin Bible, William Conlon, Gianna Cook, Gabriella Geddes, Dillon Goralski, Aidan Hanratty, Sienna Koerner, Erin Lowe, Kendall Plankl, Hailey Schombs and David Xuereb.

Twelve Class of 2024 graduates were named AP Scholars with Honor: Gabrielle Collins, Alexandra Durham, James Froh, Madelyn Katzman, Peter Kenney, Lilli Kern, Domenick Lanzi, Molly Lavitt, Sabrina Rivera, Nicole Robin, Mattias Weber and Dua Zahra.

Thirty-one Class of 2024 graduates were named AP Scholars with Distinction: Nina Abrenica, Anthony Bell, Janine Carlson, Elizabeth Clarke, Sara Collins, Logan Demianczyk, Daniel Elling, Sean Faraci, Caroline Flore, Mary Fratarcangeli, Erin Kenny, Lauren LaMena, Kainaat Malhi, Meghan McGowan, Caroline Mullman, Matthew Pepper, Addison Perinchief, Michael Roch, Christopher Sanelli, Nicholas Siegler, Jack Sikes, Jack Smith, Angelina Song, Chloe Suskin, Andrew Tartaglia Luke Umstetter, Louis Viteritti, Nicole Wang, Stephen Wasylenko and Maryam Yassir.

“Congratulations to our students and teachers,” Assistant Principal Lindsay Fritch said. “We couldn’t be more proud. They work incredibly hard throughout the year, and this is reflected in their scores. Their accomplishments are a true testament to their shared dedication, effort and commitment.”

“As the AP Coordinator, I’ve had the pleasure to see how the discipline these students have has paid off,” AP Coordinator Brittany Boccard said. “Each year they challenge themselves, and I am very proud of their success on these exams.”
