The Elwood-John H. Glenn High School Class of 2021 were welcomed back to school fulltime on March 8. In anticipation of the senior class’ return, faculty, staff and administrators, wrote letters to these students welcoming them back.
In addition, thanks to a writing lesson planned by English teachers Megan Gieser, Deidra O'Brien and Allison Peiliker, students can also admire letters lining the hallways near their classrooms. Each letter, written from a fellow senior, offers sentiments of empathy, motivation, understanding and hope during the global pandemic.
John Glenn seniors also celebrated their return with this year’s first Class of 2021 spirit week, complete with “class color day,” “dress as a tourist day” and “throwback Thursday.” Seniors will culminate their homecoming with a senior car decorating contest on Friday, March 12.
