Elwood Union Free School District is pleased to announce that the 2020-21 budget passed 2,921–1,064. Additionally, the district offers its congratulations to Thomas P. Scarola and Sara Siddiqui on being elected to the district’s board of education. This year, four candidates ran for two seats on the board.

As the candidate receiving the highest number of votes, Ms. Siddiqui was elected to fill the balance of an unexpired term from June 16, 2020 through June 30, 2020 to be followed by a full three-year term from July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2023. She was sworn into her new position by District Clerk Mary Lou Marx on the evening of June 16.

The candidate receiving the second highest number of votes, Thomas P. Scarola, will be elected to a full three-year term on July 1, 2020 and will serve through June 30, 2023.
