Elwood-John H. Glenn High School’s student musicians traveled to Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey on May 30 to compete in the Music in the Parks competition. Each ensemble performed their repertoire for a panel of esteemed judges, followed by an afternoon of fun in the park. The orchestra and band received Excellent ratings, with the orchestra taking home the trophy for first place in their division, while the school’s chorus earned a Superior rating, and also captured first place in their division. 

“I am so glad that I had the opportunity to experience this fun and music-filled trip,” sophomore chorus member Cassidy Geard said.
