Ten John Glenn Seniors Receive NYS Seal of Biliteracy

A total of 10 Elwood-John H. Glenn High School seniors recently received the New York State Seal of Biliteracy, which is affixed to each student’s diploma and high school transcript. To earn the Seal, students work to demonstrate their proficiency in English and world languages other than English, showcasing these language skills through interviews, written exams and projects that reflect their knowledge.  

The Elwood students given this honor are Mariel Fusco (Italian), Caroline Weiss (Italian), Nicola Palisciano (trilingual: Italian/English/ASL), Samuel Velasquez (trilingual: Italian/English/Spanish), Nicholas Chery (Spanish), Danielle Jacome (Spanish), Reginald Valentin (Italian), Brayden Klement (Spanish), Zoe Wilkinson (Spanish) and Bianca Recino Romero (quadrilingual: English/Italian/Spanish/ASL).
