Congratulations to Katy Kuroda and Katie Goetz for being named All League Gymnasts! The girls were recognized at the Suffolk County Girls Gymnastics Coaches Association Awards Dinner last month.

Katie Goetz, a freshman at Elwood-John H. Glenn High School and Katy Kuroda, an eighth-grader at Elwood Middle School competed as independents on the Walt Whitman Gymnastics Team.

The girls competed throughout the season on the vault, uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise. "It was a true pleasure to have both girls a part of the Walt Whitman team this year,” said coach Angela Gunsel. “Their work ethic, determination and expertise in gymnastics was a great asset to our team. I look forward to many years to come with these talented young ladies!"
