I am taking this opportunity to thank you for your continued patience throughout the past two weeks. I am happy to report that almost all of our students were back in our classrooms today. Despite all of the obstructions on the roads, were able to safely transport our children.
As a result of the storm, each building has some unique needs and I encourage you to review the district or building websites for specific information.

For Boyd parents:

Parent teacher conferences will remain as scheduled on the afternoon of Tuesday, November 13th and the evening of Wednesday, November 14th. In our District’s effort to recapture some of lost instructional time, we have collaborated with the Teacher’s Association and have determined that our students will attend a full day of instruction on Wednesday, November 14th. We appreciate the Boyd faculty’s unanimous agreement to hold a full day of school prior to evening conferences to support our students.

Lastly, one of the chief topics of concern is the loss of instructional time as well as meeting the NYS mandate of 180 school days. No later than the close of work on Tuesday November 13 I will post a memo specifically addressing these issues.
