Exceptional graduating seniors from Elwood-John H. Glenn were honored at the high school’s fifty-seventh Senior Academic Awards ceremony on May 22. In the presence of family, faculty, administrators, and Board members, the near-graduates of the class of 2019 were recognized for outstanding academics, leadership and community service.
Before honoring each student in attendance, Principal Carisa Burzynski took a moment to commended them on everything that brought them to that moment.
“Your embodiment of hard work, commitment and perseverance has led you to great success,” Mrs. Burzynski said. “We are truly proud of all that you have accomplished.”
In addition to students receiving state-level awards, such as the President’s Award for Excellence, National Merit Scholarship Commendation, and NYS Scholarships for Excellence, these shining students received gold and silver medals from the PTSA by subject area and a multitude of other honors and awards, such as the American Chemical Society Award, the National School Orchestra Award and the SCOPE Scholarship.
