Elwood-John H. Glenn High School senior Dahlia Jhaveri accepted and signed an offer on Nov. 8 to compete on Cornell University’s NCAA Division 1 gymnastics team next fall.

Jhaveri has had a wonderful gymnastics career on her club team, and her athletic accolades are numerous, including winning first place in uneven bars at the USA Gymnastics 2023 New York State championship and a silver medal at the 2023 Northeast Regionals, and being a two-time national all-around qualifier and competitor. She also excels in the classroom, recently earning National Honor Society membership and cum laude status for academic achievement.

“Dahlia is a true example of a scholar-athlete, managing her academic responsibilities and community service along with 24 hours of weekly gymnastics training and competition year-round,” Athletic Director Dave Shanahan said.
