Date Added: 5/7/2025 The sun shined on Elwood School District’s Health and Wellness Community Day on May 2, a beloved annual event filled with numerous athletic and carnival games and concessions. 

“Community Day was a big success,” said Dave Shanahan, Elwood’s director of athletics, physical education, health and nurses. “The weather held out and it turned into a beautiful day. Students and families gathered to participate in dodgeball games, have their faces painted or try out CrossFit, to name a few of the activities available, and our student-led clubs showcased their talents. Thank you to all of the volunteers for making the day so special for the Elwood community.”
