Elwood-John H. Glenn High School’s Unified Basketball team returned to action on April 28, kicking off its second season with a hard-earned home victory over Northport. John Glenn had debuted its Unified Basketball team last year, providing a unique opportunity for the student-athletes and inspiring the entire Elwood school community with their success.

“It is such a joy to work with these student-athletes,” said Unified Basketball Coach Charly Rogener. “They come to every practice filled with energy and smiles. From its inception, the program has been a home run – not only for the players on the team, but also for many of our varsity basketball players and student-athlete volunteers. They donate their time to facilitate practice and have found out how rewarding the Unified program can be. The environment at our first home game was infectious. Students, teachers and administrators all cheered on the team to victory.  It was action-packed and I encourage the community to continue coming to these home games to help keep John Glenn pride at an all-time high.”
