Students at Elwood’s Harley Avenue Primary School recently investigated the property of strength by experimenting with different solid materials. Using a bridge constructed out of pop sticks and another bridge constructed out of index cards, they compared how many washers each bridge would hold.

“The students thoroughly enjoyed this experiment,” teacher Deanna Cammarata said.
