Maria Trucios, a seventh-grade English teacher at Elwood Middle School, was recently awarded the Book Love Foundation’s Teri Lesesne Book Clubs grant of $1,000 to purchase books for her classroom library. Trucios was recognized by the BLF for her innovation, leadership and commitment in creating a classroom library that is representative of the world.
