Two exceptional high school student-musicians were selected by the New York State School Music Association to perform at the 2021 All-State Music Conference, and two additional students were selected as alternates. Thousands of students across the state auditioned for this honor at solo and ensemble festivals last spring. The event will be held in Rochester from Dec. 2-5.

Anson Kwan (bass) and Toni Meyer (alto) will perform with the All-State Mixed Chorus. Aaram Lee (violin) and Kaitlyn Schieble (soprano) were named as alternates.

“This is a culmination of all our effort and so many years put into music, so it’s nice to finally get recognized for it,” said Kwan.

“Hard work does pay off,” said Lee.
