Elwood-John H. Glenn High School’s boys basketball team recently captured their first league championship in 16 years, finishing the season 17-3 overall and going 14-2 in League V play. On Feb. 14, the Knights defeated Sayville, 50-47, in an especially intense contest, with Jason Mascia scoring seven points in the fourth quarter.

“Congratulations to our team and the coaching staff,” Athletic Director Dave Shanahan said.
